Help for La Carlota City

Earlier this week, November 3, my hometown La Carlota City has been hit hard by Typhoon Tino (Kalmaegi). Many families have lost their homes, evacuation centres are overflowing, and people are sleeping on cardboard mats because there aren’t enough stretchers or beds. Clean water, food, and clothing are urgently needed.
I’m beyond grateful that my family is safe, but it has been absolutely heart breaking to see so much damage and to see so many people struggling right now. There is so much loss and the local government is doing what they can, but resources are stretched thin.
I don’t have a lot to give myself, but I know that together, as a community, we can make a difference. Every little bit counts. The funds raised will go directly toward providing clean water, food, and clothes to those in need, items that will make an impact on meeting their immediate needs. My cousin Ian Lanaza will work with local volunteers to distribute these essentials to affected families.
Thank you so much your generosity, compassion, and prayers for the people of La Carlota City and surrounding areas.
