Help for Kyle and Lisa Samuels

Last December, Kyle started having nonstop headaches. He was diagnosed with an ear infection in February but the headaches still didn't stop. In March he started having dizzy spells and after being denied an MRI by his PCP, he found a new doctor and finally had an MRI on May 31st and was diagnosed with Hemangioblastoma in his cerebellum (a brain tumor). In addition to all of this, on May 25th, Lisa had a 360 spinal fusion with disc replacement from which she is still not completely recovered. After finding the tumor surgery was scheduled for July 7th. Kyle came home from surgery and on July 25th noticed his incision was infected. On July 27th he woke up nauseous and became lethargic throughout the day and ended up going to the hospital by ambulance. On the way to the hospital, Kyle had a seizure and aspirated, he then went into cardiac arrest. He was resuscitated after almost 2 minutes. The doctors found a bacterial infection in Kyles's brain called Pseudomonas Aerunginosa, which is a hospital-acquired infection that he got during his brain surgery.

For 8 weeks, with Lisa by his side, Kyle was in the ICU fighting to beat the infection. The doctors struggled the entire time trying to treat and keep the symptoms under control. After multiple tests, surgeries, and procedures, sadly, on September 22 Kyle lost his battle.
