Help for Krystal Kitchen
Donation protected
My good friend Krystal Kitchen has been fighting for her life. Krystal is the sweetest, most caring and kind person. She works at Foothill High School in Henderson, NV as an aide for our special needs students. I know it is hard times right now but any amount would be greatly appreciated.
Krystal had a heart attack on April 26, 2020 which effected her heart, kidneys & lungs. She was in ICU at Henderson Hospital fighting for her life for nine days before being airlifted to Keck Hospital of USC in California. She was in ICU heavily sedated, had a CTE tube helping her breathe due to a collapsed lung, was on continuous dialysis and was on a ventilator for another nine days. She had a full body MRI which shown she also had a stroke.
Krystal tested negative for COVID three times before being diagnosed with an extremely rare blood disease called Atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (aHUS). She is being treated with a drug called Soliris. Soliris is designed to block part of the immune system called the terminal complement cascade, consisting of a series of reactions that trigger the damaging immune response seen in myasthenia gravis.
Latest update as of 05/20/2020: Krystal moved out of the ICU on May 15th and into a private room. She has a permanent catheter in for her dialysis and working with physical therapists to build up the strength with her body and heart. She continues to be monitored by all doctors.
All proceeds will go to her medical costs and rehabilitation.
Thank you & much appreciated. ❤️
