Help for Kinsey

Hi there, this is Maury Hundley. You know when you have the privilege of being in the front row of lives that you hope you can be like someday? That’s the Wellborn family for me and if I am being honest for many that cross paths with them. Lovers of Jesus and what He is about. Kingdom minded knowing this side of heaven can be hard. Love with an open door and open hearts to those who need to rest or be loved on. Best type of friends and best type of parents you hope your own get to be influenced by. So when you see the life being sucked out of them because of ailments beyond their control you want to help- so please pause and read on.

Kinsey Wellborn. A beauty inside and out. A fighter for truth in the midst of suffering. She has endured and persevered through a suffering at a young age that has the medical field scratching their heads. She and her family need our help. Prayers. Provision. It’s a shame to try and be an advocate and truly get help and healing for your child that in turn robs you of so many things that scrub a soul to the bone. Please read her story written by her parents below. Please sit with Jesus and see what He stirs you to act on. You won’t regret walking and offering like He did. May we return to them the countless ways they have done kingdom work that will never get a paycheck.

"Kinsey’s journey started 6 years ago when she was 13 years old. Doctors discovered tumors in her stomach that required removal through invasive surgery, including one ovary removal. Over the next several years she would undergo surgeries, procedures, hospital stays and countless emergency room visits. In December 2021, she encountered debilitating pelvic pain. She was in the middle of her senior year of high school and had to miss the last semester of her senior year due to the chronic pain. She ended up having another surgery where they found and diagnosed endometriosis and potentially nerve damage in her pelvic area from the previous surgeries. She has lived in chronic pain every day and night for the last 2 years. She can’t do much without the help of pain medication and even that brings minimal relief. She couldn’t return to college this year due to the amount of suffering she is in and the need to see doctors. Just in the last 6 months, she has been in the ER 7 times with pain that has been so intense it has caused her to pass out. It has been incredibly hard to watch her suffer for so long. We are desperately needing to find help for her. Because of the complexity of her situation, the help we are seeking is requiring travel out of the state and medical expenses out of pocket, while we are also facing many current medical bills to be paid. It is so humbling to share this part of our lives and we appreciate you reading her story. Our hope is to be able to keep fighting for her, and to provide the help she needs to thrive and have quality of life.
