Greetings everyone.

My name is Kindra Speech and I am officially a 43-year-old law school student! After more than twenty years of being out of school, I have been blessed with the opportunity to attend the Southern Illinois University School of Law in Carbondale. I was award a generous scholarship and assistance, so thankfully that will not be an issue.

As most aware, there are several other expenses that go into attending higher education such as supplies, gas, utilities, etc. I will have moving expenses from relocating to Illinois from North Carolina (rental trunk, car dolly, moving help on both ends of the trip, gas, living supplies, etc.). In addition, my car decided to start giving me trouble a few weeks ago. Now I have the growing expense of car repairs. Yep, I am obviously creating this fundraiser out of necessity, because I need to get to law school, and I definitely need my car. LOL

With your assistance, I will have the ability to focus on having a strong positive start to my 1L year of law school, and worry less about finances. I am confident that THIS is my time, and that I WILL be successful in my law school studies.
