Hi friends, Kim underwent emergency brain surgery today (11/4/21) for a blood clot in her brain. She is now out of surgery but still intubated and sedated in the ICU at Bellevue Hospital. She has shown some good signs of following commands such as squeezing fingers and wiggling her toes, but there still may be a long road ahead. Steven has been with her throughout this whole ordeal and was able to see her once she got out of surgery. Kim's parents have flown in this evening and are able to be at bedside with her. They are working on finding lodging close by the hospital that is wheelchair accessible for Kim's dad. We're still not sure how long this process will be, but we are hoping to help offset a little the cost of travel and lodging in NYC for Kim's parents, as well as help pay for meals for them and Steve. I know we are all feeling a bit helpless and anxious for news of our beloved friend, so hopefully this is a way for us to help out in a small way. Any little bit helps, and all of the good vibes, prayers, love, and support are also greatly appreciated.
