Help for Kimberly’s quadriplegia
On June 20th 2020 my aunt Kim jumped into shallow water at a cottage and broke her neck. She was airlifted to a Toronto hospital and after surgery they determined she is now a quadriplegic for life. This is all so new to us. We still don’t know the extent of the quadriplegia but it isn’t looking good. I started this fundraiser to help alleviate the financial stress this will have on my family. This money will go towards a special wheelchair, physiotherapy, a possible caretaker and to help her son.
This is of course the worst time possible as there is an ongoing pandemic and there are no visitors allowed at the hospital. They say life doesn’t give you anything you can’t handle, and I know this happened to my aunt specifically because there is nothing she can’t handle. She is such a strong woman and we are remaining hopeful for a positive new life for her.
Anyone who knows Kim would describe her as fun and outgoing. She is always so full of life even on the bad days. She has devoted her life to helping people in her line of work as a healthcare worker. She also loves to dance! I hope one day with some help we can see her dance again.
Thank you in advance for your help. We are forever grateful!
