Hi. My name is B. J. Sanner. My husband Kevin is currently in the end stage of liver cirrhosis and is being prepared for transplant at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He has been battling this disease for years and it has definitely taken its toll on him. Our lives revolve around doctor appointments, tests, and 2 hours trips to Baltimore. I am embarrassed to say that since he has been unable to work for years and we have been surviving on only my income, we are at a point where I just cannot afford to continue on this path alone. In speaking to a social worker today, I have been informed of various co pays that will be required, as well as gas and expenses in numerous trips to Baltimore, and unfortunately lost wages as I am required to take him to every appointment and test. He no longer is able to drive and also is in such a weakened condition that he cannot do anything on his own. So, at the suggestion of the social worker, I am creating this page in the hope that someone might be willing to help.
I really appreciate your time in reading this, and would also ask that you keep Kevin and our family in your prayers.
