Help For Kenny & Linda Heath

Donation protected
Hi Everyone, as most of you know by now, Kenny & Linda Heath were in a near death motorcycle accident on Rt. 95 just outside of Savannah at the beginning of October. They were on their way home to the Eastern Shore, and both ended up being med evacuated via helicopter to Savannah Memorial.

The first couple of days were very touch and go, with multiple procedures and surgeries just to keep them alive. Through the support of their kids, who stayed by their sides round the clock, and the tremendous medical team in Savannah Memorials ICU, they have made it to stable condition and are being transferred to a Rehab clinic for ongoing treatment before hopefully coming home soon.

Unfortunately, some of the injuries sustained will be life-altering and they still have a lot to overcome. Both Kenny and Linda have lost a leg and will need prosthetics to walk, they have both had damage to soft tissue, countless bones, and organ damage. Kenny is still requiring surgeries on his arm that will leave his elbow immobilized. Linda has had significant damage to fingers and hands. When the time comes they are unable to fly home as Kenny has a slightly collapsed Lung. Kenny will have to return to Savannah in a few months for further surgeries.

Kenny is a fourth-generation waterman who depends on his physical abilities to make a living. Watermen are some of the hardest-working people, with one of the most physically challenging jobs on earth. He is hoping to be able to be back on the water one day, but a year seems like the best case scenario.

Linda helps her husband with the family business, maintains the home, works part-time and is a grandmother to three energetic kids. Her injuries will make all of these tasks much more difficult than they already are.

If you know the Heath's, you know they will overcome this and fight like hell to get back as close to their normal life as possible. In the meantime any amount contributed will go towards the costs of getting them home, helping with rehab, and alterations to the Home and Boat so that they can begin to put this behind them.

They want you all to know how much everyones prayers, well wishes and thoughts have meant to them and they can't wait to be home!
