Help for Kenneth Leslie (XULA Class of '77)

I am Kenneth Leslie, and I am a 68 year-old black man, and proud alumni from Xavier University, Class of '77. I played on the basketball team as well, and have always been proud and independent. I'm a New Orleans native and I still reside there today.

Back in mid-march of 2020, I had a stroke that unfortunately left me in critical condition. Since then, I have been disabled, and unable to live independently, relying on family, friends, and participation in different therapies to help me take care of basic functions. I've been unable to drive, and obtain essentials for myself because of this. I now realized that even though I'm prideful, I needed to cast my pride aside to reach out to anyone else who could assist.

As much as it pains me to do so, I am humbly asking you for any assistance as I am unable to make ends meet for myself, and have a heavy reliance on medications that I cannot afford. I have many bills that I have also fallen behind on due to my lack of function as of recently, and many things including rent, medical bills, and my car have fallen into delinquent status. My car is at risk of being repossessed and I have nearly met my wit's end. 

I humbly ask for your assistance with my situation, as I am dependent on others to even help set up this page. Any way that you can assist is appreciated, especially during this time where everyone is in need. I understand that so many of us are struggling, and would greatly appreciate any assistance to get me back to a healthy state of mind and living.
