Help for Kenney Powell
As a retired law enforcement officer, the goal for all of us is to retire and enjoy life! When someone has given their entire life serving the community, that is the least that they can expect. This is not the case for Retired Police Officer Kenny Powell.
Kenny suffers from Parkinson’s and for the most part, with the aid of his motorized chair, is able to get around. That is until the city ordered his ramp to be removed due to it not meeting the city’s specifications. The date to comply with the order passed and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
The warrant has since been removed but his case is pending. In the meantime Kenny is trapped in his house and without a ramp, he can’t get out!
On behalf of Kenney, the African American Police League is asking for your help! The help can be in the form of a donation, an in kind donation of supplies needed to construct a ramp or anyone proficient in constructing a ramp!
