Help for Ken and Julie

Dear Friends & Family –

This is definitely one of the hardest things I have felt compelled to do; asking friends and family for help for my sister and her husband.

As we come together for Thanksgiving and give thanks for all our blessings, please take the opportunity to hug your loved ones, hold them a little tighter and tell them you love them with all your heart. We don’t know what life has in store for us and we should never take a single day for granted. Life as we know it can change in an instant.

My sister’s husband has been recently diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic brain cancer. As he was a truck driver for a small family business, he is unable to drive and unable to work. His employer has graciously extended his health benefits for six months; however, he is unexpectedly without any pay. My sister has taken a leave of absence from her job; however, only receives 60% of her pay. Any funds raised will go directly to Ken and Julie for the expected expenses of rent, food, utilities, travel expenses to Sioux Falls and medical care deductibles and co-pays.

Ken and Julie are the epitome of what true love is. They have always helped everyone, and they would never ask for anything in return. Ken and Julie are loving, generous, and their struggle is so incredibly painful to see. I know they would be extremely thankful for any help, even though they would never ask for it. Please help in any way you can. Any donation, well wishes, prayers, positive thoughts are sincerely and greatly appreciated.
