I am saddened to share this news, but one of our dear friends and staff members at The Highlands is in need of our help. Katrina Berg, The Highlands Beverage and Catering Manager, who has provided us with hundreds of successful and fun events, has undergone some major health complications and we want to show our support.

On Sunday, February 16, she left work to go to the hospital after enduring unimaginable pain dealing with diverticulitis. Once there, she was admitted and underwent emergency surgery. She is currently recovering with a long stay in the hospital until she is well enough to return home.

We view our Highlands staff as family. Katrina has been with us for 7 years. She has recently taken over all food and beverage banquet events. She has done an amazing job of keeping our lives active, engaging, and fun. If you know Katrina, you will know that she has a heart of gold (her favorite color) and will walk to the ends of the Earth to ensure we are all satisfied with every event she does.

We are asking for your support. We have started a GoFundMe campaign for Katrina. With the unquestionable amount of medical bills she will endure, along with multiple surgeries, recovery, and ongoing medical treatment plans, your support would be greatly appreciated.
