Help for Karla & Family!

My name is Lei Wiley-Mydske and I am starting this fundraiser for Karla Colando and her family to help out with medical and living expenses as her son Jaiden has now been diagnosed with aplastic anemia.

Many of you know Karla as the owner of Brick Road Antiques on the brick road in Stanwood. If you’ve ever shopped there, you know that finding antiques and treasures is just part of the fun of her shop. Karla loves to make everyone feel at home and I know that I’ve spent many hours just having long conversations, airing my grievances and getting better therapy from her than I ever got in a doctor’s office. You’ve also likely seen her son Jaiden at the shop from time to time as well. He’s one of the sweetest kids you’ll ever meet and who is just as kind and genuine as his mom!

Unfortunately, Jaiden was recently hospitalized and diagnosed with aplastic anemia. This is a serious condition where your body stops producing enough blood cells. You can read about this here:

This means that as the family is focused on Jaiden’s recovery, Karla’s shop may not be open for their regular hours for an indeterminate amount of time resulting in a large loss of income for her family. The proceeds from this fundraiser will help the family to focus on Jaiden’s health and well-being while they navigate the road ahead of them.
