Help For Kalia
Donation protected
Hi there, my name is Tammy.
We are starting this GoFundMe page to help my sister and brother-in-law with expenses, that they are incurring and will continue to incure as a result of complications from their daughters recent surgery.
My niece, Kalia, was diagnosed with Hyperlordosis and on March 7 of this year, she went in for surgery. The complications that arose during the surgery resulted in Kalia's legs being paralized. She is currently in ICU and her length of hospitalization at this time is undetermined and expected to possibly be months.
Kalia has the biggest heart and has been trying everyday to move her legs to walk again. She has made some progress like slight muscle movement . The process will be long and painful as the doctors have said it may take a year or longer to regain use of her legs.
If you know my sister (Lesley), brother-n-law (Richard), niece (Kalia) and nephew (Ashton), they are always the first to help family and friends in need. I started this page to help them with travel expenses (to and from the hospital to be with their daughter) and also to help with anything Kalia may need while there and when she returns home. They will need to modify their home before Kalia is released to make it wheel chair accessible and paraplegic friendly as Kalia is not expected to walk without assistance for a year or longer.
And that is why I wanted to start this GoFundMe account to help take some of that stress off of them. We would appreciate any donation and thank you in advance.
We will keep you updated and all donations will go straight to Lesley and Richard's account.
We love and appreciate each one of you.
Thank you!
Tammy, Jen and Tim
