Help For Kaleb’s medical expenses

Several months ago, my 9 year old grandson Kaleb started having issues with headaches and nausea. Later came the constant urination and unquenchable thirst. After months of being told “he’s fine” by his pediatrician, Karen (his momma) put her foot down and demanded further testing.

In March he was hospitalized and diagnosed with Central Diabetes Insipidus. Central diabetes insipidus happens when damage to a person's hypothalamus or pituitary gland causes disruptions in the normal production, storage, and release of vasopressin. The disruption of vasopressin causes the kidneys to remove too much fluid from the body, leading to an increase in urination. This leads to dehydration and dangerously high levels of sodium

After an MRI, PET, and spinal tap it was confirmed that the disease was due to a tumor on his Pituitary Stalk.

This week he had a craniotomy to get a biopsy of tumor. A craniotomy is a surgical operation in which a bone flap is temporarily removed from the skull to access the brain.

The biopsy showed that he has a malignant germinoma on the pituitary stalk. At the end of the month, once he’s healing from surgery, he’ll get a port put in and they will begin Chemotherapy and Radiation.

This is going to be a long road and a lifetime of medical care due to the damaged pituitary stalk and Diabetes Insipidus

I’m asking that help in any way you can.
