On Sunday, February 16th Justin woke up and had 4 grand mal seizures. He was transported to the McKay-Dee emergency room where he was monitored and released. On Wednesday and Thursday he experienced seizure like episodes and was again taken to the ER. Multiple blood tests were taken along with an MRI and CT scan. All came back clear with no answers as to why this was happening after his epilepsy has been controlled for 15 years.
The days following his grand mal seizures on Sunday he has been experiencing a horrible migraine, blurred and double vision, vertigo, paralysis and tremors as well as not being able to speak clearly. He is not able to walk on his own or truly function without help. None of this is normal for him even after his seizures. They are still trying to figure out what’s going on and get a diagnosis.
His wife, Jazmin has been with him every day and they both have missed weeks of work. Since Justin is a union employee, he doesn’t have PTO and they also don’t qualify for FMLA yet. They have 3 kids under 8 who need their daddy to be healthy again!
With the lack of income and the fact that they are still having medical bills adding up due to the doctors still not knowing what is causing Justin’s symptoms, they could use all the help they can get!
Justin and Jaz are great people and friends! Any amount will help with giving them some relief during this stressful and uncertain time! Food, gas and other necessities is what they need help with first and foremost but hopefully we can be able to help them beyond that!
