Who is Juan?
Juan is our valued night porter in Playa del Carmen/Mexico, who is there for us with warmth and reliability. Many of us know his friendly smile and his helpful nature. He is an important part of our community.
What happened?
Recently, Juan's wife became ill - she suffers from a serious stomach condition that requires intensive medical care. As Juan lives in a remote little village and the nearest hospital is far away, he has to spend a lot of time and energy looking after his wife and accompanying her to medical appointments. This situation has forced Juan to temporarily give up his job as a night porter. The double burden of medical costs and loss of earnings presents Juan and his family with enormous financial challenges.
How can we help?
With this fundraising campaign, we would like to support Juan and his family until he can return to us. Any contribution - no matter how big or small - will make a difference and help Juan get through this difficult time.
The funds raised will be used for:
- Medical treatment costs
- Transportation costs to the hospital
- Financial support during the loss of earnings
- General living expenses for Juan and his family
