Help for Joni Shank while she takes care of Jacob

Hi, my name is Linda Shank and I am fundraising for my mom, Joni Shank.

On Monday, January 15th my brother Jacob got into a near fatal car accident and was in the trauma center for 60 days. He has been slowly progressing and is now in a rehabilitation facility, but he has a very long way to go. He sustained multiple brain bleeds, a broken arm, jaw, and pelvis, a liver laceration, bruised lungs, was on a ventilator, and is currently still on a feeding tube.

My mother, Joni, has been by his side almost every moment of every single day and will continue to do so until he can go back home.

Due to his accident, she had to take a Family Medical Leave from her job, and has not been getting paid, she now has to stay in a temporary housing arrangement for the families of patients in the rehab which costs $45 a day to stay.

I am fundraising to help her to be able to continue to take care of herself, and to help her continue to be able to be there for my brother has he continues to progress and recuperate on the long road that is ahead of him.

Anything anyone can give will be extremely helpful, and so appreciated.
