Our uncle Joe Laurie and long time girlfriend Michelle, suffered a devastating car accident last Friday, December 17 leaving Joe in critical condition in ICU and Michelle with minor injuries. Joe has a very long road ahead of him that will include more surgery and procedures as well as rehabilitation. He is suffering from almost all ribs broken, a shattered hip, a fractured pelvis and internal bleeding amongst other injuries. Joe has been a resident of Portola for 40+ years and is friends to many. He is a great local mechanic and a hard worker! We’re hoping to take as much of the financial burden away to let them both heal as this will not be a speedy process physically or emotionally. The Laurie-Beever families appreciate all of the kind words and prayers. Joe and Michelle need them! Thank you!
