Help for Joe Castelli
Donation protected
In July 2018, our eldest brother Joe suffered a fall in his home in Marietta, Ohio. He broke his neck and is now a quadriplegic. Even after several surgeries Joe's mobility has not returned, severely limiting his ability to do anything.
Our hearts are broken and we want him to enjoy the best he is able to, but infections have halted any meaningful physical therapy. In addition, funds are limited or exhausted.
Joe will likely be in a nursing home for the rest of his life. Currently he is at Select Specialty Hospital in Newark, Ohio. He is scheduled to return to Arbors at Marietta once he has recovered from his most recent surgery. We would like to find a more advanced facility that can better serve Joe's needs.
Our family’s hope is to raise money for physical therapy that would enable him to someday get into a wheelchair. This is something he has not been able to do since his accident. He has only been able to be slightly elevated on his bed. Money raised will go directly to Joe's care in the form of physical therapy and/or a wheelchair if he is able.
If all you can do is say a prayer, call him, or send him a note - that too, would let him know there is a community of people who care.
My parents, sisters, and brothers appreciate your kindness.
