Help for Jerry and Connie Owens

When you wake up each morning, you expect unforeseen circumstances to arise. Sometimes those images of circumstances come in the form of breaking a nail, having a bad hair day or your car breaking down. I don’t think we ever imagine that our home of 35 years would burn to the ground and you would lose everything.

My parents woke up yesterday morning and carried on throughout their day like any other day. They left their house to go to Walmart in Sand Springs last night and when they returned, their house was engulfed in flames. My dad went into immediate action while waiting on the Fire Department to arrive. There wasn’t much he could do. It was out of control. Unfortunately, the fire raged while taking the lives of their dog and their three cats.

A lot of people have asked how they can help. Prayers are the biggest thing! But also, trying to get the necessities just to live day to day right now is a priority.

I am asking for urgent help to get my parents the things that they need while waiting on insurance and inspections. They have the clothes on their backs and that is it. Thank you for the love and support.
