Help for Jennifer Byrd

Hello, my name is Kristina Sprunger and I am asking for help for Jennifer.

Many know Jennifer as a best friend, a hard-working colleague, the smiling bartender, or the best cook in town. Jennifer Joyce Byrd is all that and more. She may be the kindest, most selfless, strongest person I know.

We truly appreciate you taking a moment to read her story.

Jennifer was blindsided when she received the news she was diagnosed with breast cancer in January of 2024. This diagnosis came after many appointments with different physicians, screenings and tests, mammograms, ultrasounds and biopsies. The results lead to only one form of treatment: a double mastectomy. Her surgery is scheduled for April 17th. This will be a long 7 1/2 hour surgery. Doctors will be following up with additional treatments for the next 10 weeks. Her recovery is predicted to be very hard and she will be off work for a minimum of 3 months. Jennifer received this latest news after she had to make the difficult choice to have a hysterectomy in December of 2023 due to endometriosis.

Jennifer currently works two jobs to keep up with medical bills and basic daily living expenses. She already took time off to recover from her hysterectomy and the additional time off for her double mastectomy is fast approaching. We are here asking for help.

Jennifer is such a ray of sunshine to this world and we hope to give a little light back to her. All donations will go directly to Jennifer to help pay for her living expenses, her mounting medical bills, and a recliner for her to use during her recovery. No amount is too small.
