For many things in life the old adage that 'the first time is the hardest' rings true. But, today is not one of those times. Opening up this "Go Fund Me" site again has me in tears and it certainly is not any easier this second time.

 

You may remember that 25 months ago I came to you all through Go Fund Me, because Jenna had thyroid cancer. You all showed up in a big way then, as Jenna had her entire thyroid removed as well at 60+ lymph nodes and the radiation afterwards. But now I'm back, asking you all to show up in a big way again.... For Jenna.... and her sweetest little guy, Jeremiah!

 

We found out a short time ago, during a routine ultrasound check of her thyroid area, that Jenna had two growths in her neck. After a traumatic and dreadful biopsy, including 12 needles, Jenna was told one growth is cancerous and the other has abnormal cells.

We are back to the C word. And we are all devastated... especially after a clean and clear pet scan in early December. Jenna has worked SO SO hard over the last two years to do everything in her power (....everything!) to get herself healthier and stronger than ever. But cancer doesn't care about any of that. And it's back.

 

As you may know Jenna has her own VERY successful business! Songbird House is a growing and thriving business! She and her mom have built this business to such an incredible place! It has allowed Jenna to be independent and to care for herself and her son! This amazing business enabled her to have own apartment, her own reliable and suitable car, and provide for herself and her son!

But Jenna needs to take a break. And if she takes a break, Songbird takes a break.

Jenna needs surgery ...again, and she needs time off to have it and recover. But the rent, and the electric, and the car payments, food and medication and medical bills, and all the other bills don't take a break! And sweet Jeremiah certainly doesn't take a break either ;)

 

And so, as I type these words, I also pray, that you would please consider helping Jenna. For some of you.... helping Again. Helping again doesn't compare to facing to cancer again. Helping again is far less painful and traumatic that facing cancer again. But... helping again does show the love again, backed by the prayers again and rid her of this stress again, knowing that she is supported through these days and these needs are met for her and that sweet boy Jer.
