Jeff has been an integral part of the Roseville community for over 25 years now. Jeff and his wife, Mary, raised four children in Roseville who all continued to participate in sports and other academic related activities. Whether it was being a City Council member, the President of Roseville Lutheran Church, coaching youth football and basketball, or being chair of Northeast Youth and Family Services, Jeff has always gone out of his way to be involved. With how much Jeff has done to give back to our community, I would like to take this opportunity for us to give back to him in his time of need.
In October of 2018, Jeff was hospitalized at United Hospital with Sepsis, which after many tests and confusion was found to cause kidney and liver failure. He spent a total of five weeks in the hospital before being discharged. Over the holidays he was able to come home and spend some much needed time with his family and friends. Jeff has been re-hospitalized four times since then, as doctor's have struggled to determine the main underlying cause and cure for his ailments. He has spent time at transitional homes following each hospitalization where he has had to re-learn how to walk and do daily tasks on his own again.
With each visit to the hospital, transitional care and doctor's appointments, came overwhelming amounts of co-pays and hospital bills. Although each day Jeff continues to improve and is now a candidate for a kidney transplant at the University of Minnesota, he still has a long road ahead. I am here to ask for help in raising money funds for Jeff and his family to help lessen the burden of their past to allow him to focus solely on the improvement in their future.
