HELP FOR JEFF & HIS FAMILY.

My name is Chelsey Thomas and I am from the Llansamlet area of Swansea and the man in the picture linked to this story is my lovely step father. On New Years Day, 2020, Jeff and our families world came crashing down when Jeff was the victim of a horrific assault. 
Jeff has spent the last 3 weeks doing his best to recover at Cardiff Heath Hospital, he is in the intensive care unit suffering multiple bleeds and fractures to his skull and brain. 
Jeff has had multiple surgeries/procedures in order for him to be where he is today, including the removal of part of his skull due to severe swelling and pressure in his brain. 
The aftermath of the assault has left Jeff severely brain damaged meaning he may never walk or talk again. 
Our lives have been turned upside down. Jeff is the most caring, loving, kind hearted person anyone could ever meet and should never have been put into the position he is now. 
For us as his family to see Jeff laying in his hospital bed, a shell of the devoted husband, doting stepfather, loving bampa and much loved son and brother that he used to be is absolutely heartbreaking every single day. We are unable to communicate with our loved one and we still don’t even know if he knows who we are. 
Jeff is going to need 24hour care if and when he is able to come home to us, we will need all the help we can to make sure that Jeff has the best possible care from doctors, speech therapists, physiotherapists and so on. 
If all of my friends could donate atleast £1, we would be able to keep giving Jeff the care he needs and will need for the rest of his life once returning home to his family. 
My mother is having to take time away from both of her jobs so that she can be with Jeff everyday in Cardiff which is adding to the list of struggles we are already facing on a day to day basis.
The money that we raise for Jeff will be going towards physiotherapists, speech therapists and any other help Jeff may need once he has returned home. This may include travel costs back and forth to Cardiff. 
Anything will help us give Jeff the quality of life he deserves after this awful incident and we need to do everything that we can to help get the smile back on Jeffs face.
