Help for Jeanne Rose Roxby
Donation protected
On November 5, 2021 our dear friend, Capt. Larry Roxby was taken from us in a terrible accident and four of his dogs died with him. His beloved wife, Jeanne Rose is now tasked with not only grieving the love of her life but caring for 22 sled dogs and the Flying Furs Farm.
Larry and Jeanne have been pillars of the mushing community here in the Pacific Northwest for many years and Capt. Larry has mentored many rookie mushers, both young and old in our sport. He and Jeanne have adopted several working dogs who needed a warm home, a good meal and a job. The Fabulous Flying Furs range in age from 7 months to nearly 15. Many are rescues or rehomes and feeding and caring for them is not an inexpensive endeavor.
Jeanne will need financial help with dog food, vet bills, food, gas, bills and home maintenance. Anyone who knows Jeanne knows that she would never ask for help, instead she would ask you what YOU need from her. I have never met such a loving and giving woman. Let's pitch in and help her. As Jeanne often said, "Many drops can fill a large bucket."
