need help. We have been fighting to get on our feet since I left an abusive home. We started to make a life for ourselves again finally then of course things out of our control decide it's time to let us fall again. Many things have happened. My daughter has been hospitalized 7 times for upper Kidney infections. She has an average of 7 days in the hospital each time before they can get her well enough to go home. Then she goes on meds, has follow up visits and then she has some type of auto immune attack. This last one was the worst lasting weeks and no answers why or how yet again. Just months of follow up appointments with multiple specialists, meds and losing work.
On top of that, I turned 40 and decided to have a stroke. I was hospitalized for almost a week and then sent home with no answers, lots of meds and what has now been almost 8 months of specialists and follow up appointments. My neurologist strongly advised me to quit work as I would have another stroke due to stress since my arterial dissection is still open. My regular doctor has me heavily medicated and now going to therapy and many different specialists to figure out my post stroke pain and depression/anxiety. We have accumulated so much in bills that we cant even pay a little on each medical bill and still pay our rent, utilities and food. We dont have transportation so these appointments are now going to cost even more taking a lyft so that we can be back in time to get to work. We need to move as this apartment has now been completely renovated by the new owners and the price is far out of our budget now. I have to be able to quit my job to stay alive yet I cant quit my job because we wont survive. I now have something further wrong with me that needs additional surgery as well as hospitalization that could take months (ask in private if you need to know please as it is personal) on top of something they cant figure out where I aspirate nightly and cant catch my breath during the day and cough until I keel over in pain every day (no it's not Covid-been tested countless times now). We need help. We need to get on solid ground. We cant do it alone. No matter how hard we work, no matter how creative we get with budgeting, we just cant do it. Becoming homeless on top of our health issues is just going to be the final straw. I dont think we could survive it without a vehicle to stay in at least. If you can help even a little bit, we are the kind of people who always pay if forward and help everyone we can. Your kindness will not be in vain. We appreciate you reading our story and wish you all good health and prosperous, happy lives.
