Help for Jason's Final Ride and Diesel.

On Sunday, March 21st, I recieved a phone call that I will NEVER forget.  My dad on the other "Jason wrecked his bike. He's at shock trauma." And then the rest just faded.   I could feel my chest closing and I forgot who I was talking to.  While we prayed for recovery, God had other things in his plan and by Wednesday we had confirmed the worst, and after speaking directly with closest family and friends our brother Pat posted the following..

It's Wednesday evening, I never thought in my life I'd be typing something like this, and I have no idea how to type this message, but I'll do my best. I may leave minor details out, but the important things are in the message. Sunday morning we received the call that Jason was flown to shock trauma, and that it wasn't looking good. We rushed there to see him, and got to see him before his first of several emergency surgeries. He initially pulled through the first, and then they found the aneurysm in his RCA. They tried to pack it, but were unsure if it would work. We got news that the aneurysm had decreased in size, but was still unstable. Next step; wait for him to be able to tolerate laying flat for an MRI. He went for an MRI on Tuesday evening, and we waited for results. I received a phone call from the Head physician on his unit this afternoon at approximately 1pm. Jason has suffered a complete stroke to the entirety of the right side of his brain, and is showing minimal brain stem activity. The physician and the lead neuro surgeon both agreed that the damage was unrepairable and IF he ever woke up, which they do not anticipate, he would have a complete deficit ( unable to use the whole side) on the left side of his body. There is also a strong possibility of blindness. The aneurysm has also started to bleed again, and they can not stop it at this time. The prognosis was given, Jason would essentially end up as a vegetable in a nursing home, on a breathing machine. ANYONE that knows my little brother knows that is not how Jason would ever want to live. If there is anyone that could have fixed my little brother it was Shock Trauma and the team of doctors, nurses, specialists and surgeons that have worked so hard to give him a fighting chance. At the end of the day, the damage had been done, and its to extensive to fix. The doctors advised that Jason's condition is starting to worsen and that they are unsure of how much longer he has. We ask everyone continue to pray for his friends, family, and loved ones, but at this time our family is requesting that people limit calling our phones in an attempt to give everyone a chance to say goodbye. Any requests, comments or questions can be directed to me, and Ill do my best to answer as I can. This is an extremely hard decision for us, but as I said, this is about Jason, and I'm pretty sure He would have already tried to kick my ass for what we've already done. At the end of the day this is about my little brother, and what's best for him. I can't thank you all enough for all the support you've already shown us.

Thursday, March 25th 2021 at 2:16, my baby brother gained his wings.  He left us for his eternal ride in the clouds.

Family plans are for Jason to be cremated.  Once he returns home  to us, a Memorial "weekend" is to be planned.  This weekend will include a day for his final ride, and then one hell of a gathering, to celebrate his life and cherish his memory!

This GFM will help with those expenses.   Once all matters are straightened out (what 26 yr old has these things situated?) and his expenses are covered,  any remaining funds will be put in safe keeping and used to make sure his beloved Diesel is well taken care of.

Our family thanks you all, from the bottom of our hearts,  for the immense amount  of love,  thoughts,  and prayers put forth.  It is amazing to see and hear just how many lives Jason has touched!

Thank you all,
~Mark, Donna, Nicole, Patrick & Jacob
