Hello, this page has been set up by the Mead & Maese families to lend support to Jaime & Emily Maese as they begin navigating the many challenges that come with having a premature baby.

Baby Margot Jane Maese was due in February 2025, but arrived early on December 5, 2024. She is currently in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) at St. Mary’s in Richmond, Va., and is expected to be there for the next 9 weeks.

The hospital has a Ronald McDonald floor, which Emily and Jaime will be utilizing when there is availability, as there are other families and limited space. The families are only permitted to stay 3 days per week. Jaime and Emily live in New Kent and will have to make the daily 40-60 minute commute (depending on traffic) on the days they are unable to stay. We know the gas alone will become costly for this young new family, in addition to meals, unexpected associated costs, and the potential for disruption to their income as they try to navigate time off from work outside of their maternity leave that will be needed when baby Margot is able to come home.

Both their families will continue to help out as well in many capacities in the coming months. This page is simply to help lighten the load on Emily and Jaime as they focus on baby Margot.

We ask that no one feel pressured to give, especially during the holiday season. Prayers are equally valued, as well as words of encouragement.
