We heard the sad news today of the passing of one of Kona Kai’s most cherished team members, Hilario Torrez. Hilario has been a huge part of the Kona Kai Family for the past 18 years and will always be remembered for being soft spoken with a warm heart and memorable smile.

His love for Kona Kai and dedication to his craft of groundskeeping was only exceeded by his love of family. Having raised 14 wonderful children, his tireless work ethic and his daily commute from Tijuana, MX will be appreciated, valued, and missed for years to come.

Hilario is survived by his beautiful wife and 13 of his children.
