Hi my name is Helen, I'm a full time wheelchair user.
You might have encountered me out and about training or at an event or looking homeless by a canal or river, or perhaps you've seen an online post.
If you know me you’ll know I’m a keen fundraiser and I love a challenge :)
If you don’t know me then see above ^^^
My last challenge saw me do a marathon in Antarctica but for now I’m closer to home… Next stop London marathon!
January - Antarctic Marathon 5 hours brrrrr ✅✅✅
April - London Marathon - 4:28!!! ✅✅✅
May - ? got a challenge for me? connect and lets talk tricky ;)
June -?
July - Thames Path (183miles in 5 days) my biggest endurance challenge yet, I'll be mostly unsupported and carrying everything I need for 4 nights out.
August - Newbury Half Marathon (I know, easy, but I expect I'm still tired from the Thames Path!
September - Bermuda Triangle Marathon (will I make it back from this???)
I'd like to do a vertical mile up 2-300 flights of stairs, if anyone knows a building suitable? (about 10 stories with a lift)
I'd also like to do 50 miles in coombe tunnel but would need a support crew for that if anyone wants to sit at the end of a tunnel and count 25 out and backs for me and throw snacks at each appearance:)
I’m raising money for 2 charities close to my heart, Stoke Mandeville Wheelchair Rugby Club and Help for Heroes, both these amazing charities have helped both myself and my friends through life changing experiences and used the power of sport to help enhance both physical and mental health along with fostering a supportive environment for people to gain independence and rehabilitation.
Without charitable funding neither charity would be able to continue its life changing work.
