Help Save Hernie
Hi everyone, and thank you for taking a moment to read about Hernie.
Hernie is a 6-week-old kitten who’s already been through more than most. She was the runt of her litter - currently weighing just 70g.
Despite her tough start, Hernie is full of life. She’s incredibly playful, curious, and has a huge personality packed into the tiniest little body.
She was born with an umbilical hernia — which is how she got her name. In many cases, hernias in kittens are small and heal on their own. That’s what I hoped would happen. But over the past few weeks, Hernie’s condition has gotten worse. The hernia has grown to the point where her intestines are now sitting outside of her stomach. It’s no longer something that can wait — she needs urgent surgery to survive and live comfortably.
The estimated cost for her surgery and ongoing care is £960. As you can imagine, that’s a lot, especially on top of the other unexpected costs of caring for a sick kitten. I’m doing everything I can to help her, but I can’t do it alone.
If you’re able to donate, even a small amount, it would make a huge difference. And if you’re not in a position to give, sharing her story would mean just as much. Hernie has such a strong little spirit, and with the right care, I truly believe she has a bright future ahead.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support
