Help for Hecubus
Donation protected
Hecubus, the most loving little guy on the planet, needs help. In the past month or so, he’s gone from being a healthy, happy, muscular chap to being so thin that he’s hardly more than a skeleton. He’s so weak he needs to be lifted onto virtually any surface and although he’s got an appetite, his condition isn’t improving.
We’ve tried antibiotics to rule out certain stomach problems, changing food in case he’d just gotten very picky, but it’s clear that he needs more help. And that help is going to be expensive.
As you may know (or are about to find out), I’m a full-time caregiver for my husband, who is mostly bedridden with severe multiple sclerosis. I make money through contract work, which is risky because it’s unpredictable. This is all the more true during a pandemic when businesses are also facing uncertain times.
This boy is without exaggeration one of the things that has kept us going and he deserves the best treatment we can get. We don’t know how much this will end up costing but what we’ve found out so far is that it’s going to be a lot. More than we can afford on our own.
So if you have some room in your hearts and budgets to help us out, it would mean the world to our hybrid human/ feline family. Thank you so much.
