Help for Heather and Braylinn
On March 23rd Heather Schmidt Gibbs was taken to Johnston Willis Hospital where their daughter Braylinn was delivered via emergency c-section and was in full cardiac arrest. Braylinn beat the odds and was resuscitated and has been on the journey to recovery. During this time her beautiful mother was also fighting for her life and was given a 25% chance of surviving. During her surgery they found that she had a splenic anuersym and had to undergo a splenectomy. It has been a long road and both were doing great. Then on April 7th Heather developed further problems and was taken to MCV where it was determined she had multiple life threatening blood clots. She underwent open heart surgery to remove the worst of the clots and remains in the ICU. She has a long road of recovery but she is the toughest, bravest woman I know. Braylinn is doing very well but still has a long way to go as well. This family has gone through more than anyone should have to go through. Bringing a baby into the world should be a happy and fun time but this has been the hardest journey for any new parents. There will be large medical bills and any donations would be greatly appreciated and will help to pay the medical bills that continue to accumulate. Tee and Heather are always willing to step up and help so now is our time to give back. Let's show them the love and support they need. Thank you.
