To say the Al Halwasli family has had its  share of struggles is an understatement.
Yet they are still so positive and loving     every day. I met this amazing family by working with their son, Ryan. Immediately I could tell this was an amazing family, because even with all their struggles, they are so positive and grateful for every little thing.
They  have 4 beautiful children. From oldest to youngest: Reslan, Ryan and their wonderful twins Isla  and Kizer.
The first three of their  children are    suffering from Zellweger’s disease.

It is a fatal illness that causes the child to deteriorate slowly, losing their vision, hearing, ability to move, eat and breathe.

There is no cure for Zellweger’s disease.

Unfortunately , last week, just days before his 12th  birthday Reslan passed away from this horrible  disease.

The family is grieving immensely- the funeral costs are high and unexpected.  To top  off their  struggles - the House that they have been renting in Milton is soon going to be sold and they need to move within the next month or 2. This is a time that they should be grieving as a family; not worrying about moving. As well as still caring for their other children to who are terminally ill.

The Milton community is a caring and loving one. Please give anything you can to alleviate the tremendous financial costs This family is experiencing during such a sad time

The family will be the sole beneficiary of this fundraiser. If we surpass our goal of $20,000 to cover the cost of the funeral, the extra money will go for medical expenses for the family, and research for a treatment or cure of Zelwegers.
