Help for Harley girl
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Pam and I’m the fur mama to an incredible 11 year old boxer x border collie named Harley girl. Harley is a sweet old gal who recently became a certified pet therapy dog for St. John Ambulance (volunteer).
Harley has been diagnosed with an aggressive canine tumor that needs immediate removal by a specialized veterinary dentist in Victoria.
For those of you who know me, you probably know how much Harley means to me and how much love and care I put into my pups. Three weeks ago, Harley had surgery to repair an ear hematoma. When she was asleep, the vet took a good look in her mouth and found a small growth behind one of her lower canine teeth. The sample was sent to the lab and came back as an acanthomatous ameloblastoma, which is a locally aggressive type of canine tumor that often involves the jaw bone underneath the gum line.
Fortunately there is a fairly high success rate with a surgery to remove the tumor and part of the jaw bone, and there is a veterinary dentist in Victoria who can perform this procedure, AND, they can fit us in on March 14th. However, the surgery will cost around $5,000.
I have had a very difficult year and had to leave my job and relocate all while dealing with domestic violence and ongoing mental health issues as a result. I finished paying for my masters by myself and have been able to find work, housing, and start to grow my savings up again. However this surgery is so soon and I’m unable to secure funds quickly enough to be sure I have enough money in less than two weeks.
I am very independent and I try to be self-sufficient but I could really use a little help if you’re able to donate to Harley’s surgery. Funds raised will go directly to her medical bill. You can also donate directly to Evergreen Veterinary Dentistry. Harley, Mambo and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love and support.
