Help for Hailey Kane

Hailey is a 17 year old who loves baking and playing piano and singing. She also has a flair for drama and has acted in a number of stage plays, often with her Dad acting in the same play...... But Hailey is very sick. On July 3rd she was rushed to Halifax by ambulance and is battling an acute viral attack on her heart, for the second time. She is currently in the CCU at the QEII in Halifax. She may need a heart transplant. There seems to be no answers so far on what virus has invaded her system, or why it went to her heart.
Her heart rate on admittance to the hospital was over 200 beats per minute, while her blood pressure was very low. She has fluid on her lungs and is fighting congestive heart failure.
This is all too familiar. She spent her 8th birthday at the IWK children's hospital when a virus attacked her heart the first time. It was never determined what the virus was, nor why it went to her heart. She was to be a recipient of a heart transplant at that time, but was too sick to undergo the procedure. Somehow she battled through and eventually came home to the Annapolis Valley.
Hailey's heart is permanently damaged. She has never been fully healthy since the ordeal in 2007, and her parents ; Aaron and Susanne, have exhausted the Nova Scotia medical system trying to get help and to be heard. Hailey suffers with anxiety (who wouldn't after such trauma) and has tested positive for Lyme disease as well.
Medications are astronomically expensive, and her mother has been unable to work because of the care Hailey needs. Aaron has a good career, but currently cannot be there as his daughter is in critical condition.
We are asking for your financial support to help pay for medications, lodging, travel and parking, meals, and loss of income. This problem is not likely to be quickly resolved, so any way you can help would be very appreciated and would go directly to the family to help in Hailey's care.
