I’m setting this up for my sister, MaLisha Scott (Lish) and her family. If you know her, then you know her heart! You know she’s one of the most caring and loving people you’ll ever meet. Her and her husband Greg are always the first to help someone out, no matter what they have going on. If you needed money, food, a place to stay, help with something, someone to talk to or pray with or for you, they are always there for people. Lish is the kind of person you can call in the middle of the night if you need a ride or a place to go and she will come get you and make sure you eat. She has a way of making you feel loved when you are with her.

Early Friday morning, their house caught fire in the basement. Thank God everyone, Lish, Greg, and their three kids, got out safely. The fire was contained but a lot of their stuff was destroyed by fire, water, or smoke … almost all of their clothes, their furniture, shoes, food, you name it.

Right now they’re staying in a hotel, which is crazy expensive, while trying to replace important things like, buy food and clothing, and figure out whether they will need to find a new place to live. They have to replace pretty much everything while also figuring out if they’ll even be able to move back home. On top of all of that, school is about to start. So they also have to get the kids all new school supplies and clothes because the things they had begun to buy were destroyed in the basement.

I’m just hoping we can pull together and help them the way she’s helped so many of us. Any amount big or small will help them get back on their feet. Even if you can’t donate, sharing this means the world.

Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward helping Lish her husband and her family get back on their feet. Covering immediate costs for shelter, food, clothing, and replacing what was lost.
