Help for Grandmother While Mom Recovers from Brain Surgery
Donation protected
We’ve done everything by the book (and then some) and we are still coming up short.
My grandmother has been living with Dementia for several years now. Until recently, she received full-time care and supervision from my mother, who gave everything to ensure she remained safe, dignified, and cared for. But now, my mother is recovering from a major brain surgery. On top of her own needs for recovery, she is no longer able to provide the care my grandmother urgently needs.
Caregiving is a full-time job - one that takes a heavy emotional, physical, and financial toll. Watching my mother carry this weight in silence and alone, while also trying to heal from a life-altering procedure, has been devastating. We’ve reached the point where can can’t keep pushing alone or in silence.
We’ve applied for grants. We’ve done the applications to charities. Nothing has come through and time is not on our side.
We are asking for help in raising $16,000 to cover:
- Temporary placement for my grandmother in a care home equipped to meet her needs
- In-home support services while they transition
- Basic living expenses like rent and food for my mother during her recovery
- Assistance around the house to keep things safe and stable
The smallest amount has the potential to make a difference. If you can’t, then simply sharing this story with a link would mean the world. If we can raise this amount, it would give us breathing room—space for my mother to heal and my grandmother to receive the care she deserves. My income alone can’t cover this, and the stress has become unsustainable.
If you know me, you know how hard it is for me to ask publicly.
.But if you can, please consider donating or sharing this campaign with someone who might be able to help. It would mean everything to us.
