Help for Gerald's end of life celebration

On February 8th Gerald (Smitty) was involved in a fire. His 5th wheel caught fire while he was inside; Smitty was able to get out unharmed. He then realized his cat Mia was still inside, so in true Smitty fashion, he went back in to get her; from doing so, Smitty sustained minor burns and smoke inhalation and was transported to a local burn center where he was treated and discharged hours later. Mia (the cat) was taken to a local vet with smoke inhalation and later transported to a 24 hour ER vet that could better care for her needs, where she is still currently being cared for. February 9th Gerald was found unresponsive in his home life saving measures were taken, but unfortunately, it was too late. He leaves behind his beautiful wife, Misty. I'm making this gofundme in hopes we can help her with the expenses for his end of life celebration as well as the vet bills for Mia. Gerald meant the world to so many, and those who had the pleasure of meeting him know he is the first person to offer the shirt off his back to anyone who needed help. He wasn't just an outstanding husband to his wife and grandpa to his grandson, but he was an amazing friend to all! Every little bit helps; let's give Smitty the send off he deserves!
