Our dear brother and son, Gary, passed away suddenly at 63 years old on April 20th. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Christina, and their son, Grant. Gary worked in the construction industry for the last forty years after graduating from the University of New Mexico. Grant graduated from Texas Tech University in 2017 and was helping his father with his business while job hunting. While on the job site, Gary collapsed right next to his son and could not be revived despite an hour of CPR by first responders. Christina works in the public school system as a Speech Therapist and planned to retire at the end of this school year. Last year, she developed uterine cancer, which required aggressive chemotherapy and surgery. She had just completed her last treatment and was looking forward to retiring, as her fatigue was increasing. Christina hoped to focus on getting better and doing some traveling. Their family has been alone in central Texas without any relatives nearby. The tragedy of losing Gary, the rock and consistent positive force of this family, has left Christina and Grant lost.
In lieu of flowers, any and all support for Christina and Grant in this trying time would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much in advance.
