Help for Garret..
Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Kaylee Bates and I am here fundraising for my brother Garret. Most of you probably know by now that our family seems to be susceptible to ACL tears. From our mother, to my older brother, and then to me, not once, not twice, but 3 times. This is a very grueling process; you endure pre-op, surgery, and then a complete nine month recovery that consists of physical therapy three times a week, not to mention how it affects one mentally. I had to endure this process three whole times, I felt as if I was stuck in a life long ground hog day of pain, surgery, recover, repeat. Yet no matter all of the pain I felt and frustration to the world, I would still never ever wish this upon my baby brother. He is my entire life. Our whole childhood consisted of him pretending he was spider man. When I tell you every single photo contained him trying to shoot a web from his hands, I am not joking. He brings me and my family so much joy and happiness and most importantly love. He is the most selfless human that anyone would ever get the pleasure of meeting. And for him to be enduring this much pain and frustration, if I could do anything to take this pain away from him, believe me I would; I wish it was me. His surgery is December 10th and that is when the true pain and recovery will begin. His entire life is put on pause and he is unable to play football, basketball and lacrosse. He is a very active human from spike ball to swimming at the beach to running around the backyard with our dogs. With this holiday season coming up, my family and I would especially appreciate it if you could find it in your heart to pray, donate and/or share Garret and my families story. It means more to me than you could ever imagine. Any donations from one dollar to anything will be greatly appreciated and take some of the financial strain away from our my family during this season.
Thank you very much,
Love
