Help For Gabe - An Unexpected Tragedy

Gabe, loving husband, father, and friend, was tragically involved in a trench collapse that nearly took his life, resulting in critical injuries.
Man Buried in Hyrum Trench Collapse
While working on a sewer line, Gabe was unexpectedly met with the horrific disaster of the trench caving in on him. Despite attempts to escape, he was buried up to his shoulders by the collapse.
Emergency services were called, while in the meantime, two of the gentleman who had been working with Gabe stayed by his side, frantically digging him out by hand and encouraging him to breath and stay conscious. Gabe received a priesthood blessing during this time.
He was rushed to a local hospital, where they performed tests and x-rays, determining broken ribs as well as damage to the liver and spleen. Gabe required transport via helicopter to a different hospital where they performed surgery due to internal bleeding associated with his liver and spleen.
Unfortunately, the story doesn't end there, as they needed to perform a repeat surgery in the middle of the night to completely remove his then ruptured spleen. They also put blocks in his liver to stop the active internal bleeding.
Gabe's other injuries include 9 broken ribs on his left side and 4-5 broken ribs on the right, both front and back.
By God's miraculous grace and the hard work of his fellow workers, showing determination, perseverance, and loving kindness, Gabe's life was spared in those first few moments. We are eternally grateful!
The goal of this fundraiser is to relieve the financial pressure and stress of medical, transportation, meal, and household expenses so he and his family can focus on healing.
