Help for Friend Whose Business Destroyed by Ian

Our dear friend, Christina Dickerson, lost her entire massage studio in the wake of Hurricane Ian and some of her friends have come together to help raise funds to help her purchase an electric massage table that is vital to her livelihood. Christina would never ask for help personally but we would like to ask for help on her behalf so that she is able to provide for her and her children in the wake of losing her business that she has worked so tirelessly on building in Englewood, Florida. The entire town was devastated by the hurricane and many of the residents there are left to pick up the pieces. Christina is an extremely hardworking business owner there and is a single mom to two kids and she is working tirelessly to get back on her feet after the loss of her business not to mention having to deal with the loss of power and damage to her own home. The building where her studio was located lost it's roof and even though she was on the second floor, her entire studio was flooded with water from the collapsed roof and everything inside was ruined, including her $4,000 electric massage table which is a vital component to her business and what we are trying to raise funds here for her to replace. Christina has applied for FEMA assistance and was only offered $700 which will go towards the table replacement but is not nearly enough. Because her table was ten years old, insurance was not an option because they would only have reimbursed her $50 as that's what they determined it's value to be but to Christina, it holds a much higher value than that as it's her livelihood. Christina has been working to line up a space at another massage studio in town but she still needs the electric massage table to be able to perform her job. She provides a valuable service to her established customer base in town so we want to help get her back up and running as quickly as possible. I know times are tough right now for many of us so you can imagine how tough it is for those directly affected by the hurricane, especially a single mom and business owner who has to rebuild from scratch. Our hearts were breaking watching our friend try to get back on her feet which is why we wanted to do what we could do to help. Christina is such a wonderful and caring friend to all that know and love her so please consider helping her get her business back up and running if you are willing and able.
