Help Frank Gerbig Fight

Frank, aka “Nitti”/“Three”, has been a generous and kind man his entire life. He has always been the kind of man that would give you the shirt off his back if needed. He is always putting others first; family and friends wants and needs above his own. He was always willing to work multiple jobs at once if that meant helping someone else in need.
Frank started falling ill with “flu-like” symptoms in January of this year however, these symptoms began to further declare themselves and progressed over the months (even under the care of his regular medical team). In May 2019, after months of deteriorating, failure to thrive (losing 100 lbs), and suffering, he was finally diagnosed with severe Ulcerative Colitis. Immediately following the diagnosis, he was admitted to the Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery the following day for bowel perforation. He underwent a complicated surgery and his entire colon was removed. He spent several post operative days in the ICU. He was admitted for 2 weeks total secondary to post op complications of blood clots, pulmonary embolism, and malnutrition. He was discharged to rehab where he quickly declined after a week and returned to hospital for dehydration and malnutrition. He was admitted for a few days, made small improvements, then sent back to rehab again. Sadly, he again failed outpatient therapy and is now readmitted for over a week. He is not tolerating liquids and is extremely weak/fatigued. He continues to lose weight and is gradually losing his will to fight.
During these 6 months, he hasn’t been able to work and his medical bills are mounting quickly. He has a college-age daughter who works and studies, but whom also relies on him for financial assistance. Now is the time for us to pull together and put him first! We are hoping that you will find it in your heart (financially and through prayers) to contribute to helping this wonderful man be able to solely focus on recovery and getting back on his feet, not worrying about losing his home. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this and your consideration.
