Help for Fire Displaced Madonna House Residents

Tax deductible
You can make a difference by donating today to Rappahannock Area Agency on Aging. All funds raised will go to support those who have been displaced by the fire which happened in the late evening of Monday May 16th. The fire occurred in the attic portion of the building and has displaced more than 50 people, many of whom could be displaced for 6 months or more.

The residents of Madonna House senior apartment community are older adults living on a fixed income who now need to find a new safe and affordable living situation and find the resources to pay a security deposit, first and last month’s rent. In addition to the expenses associated with renting living space, each needs to replace their furniture, household items, clothes and other necessities.

All funds from this campaign will be used to help with those expenses and any other needs that the displaced older adults may have.
