Hello, my name is Misty Johnson, and Im starting this fundraiser to help my husband.. Jason Johnson. Only a few evenings ago, as I was picking up our 2 children and preparing for a family night we had planned together, i received one of the worst calls I’ve received ever. My husband had been severely burnt to the point he was going into shock, and would be air lifted to Richmond, VA to the VCU burn unit. i found out once i rushed home the cause of these burns were in effort to save time and having hopes of being finished upon the kids and i arrival, he had used a ShopVac to vavuum the fuel out of a boat that he suspected to of had bad gas in the fuel tank. When he attempted to switch the vacuum off, somehow a spark accumulated and it was as if a bomb literally went off right beneath him.. fortunately he did not lose his eye sight thanks to the quick reaction he had to squint and shut his eyes once it ignited, but he then was literally on fire on his face, arms, legs.. all over basically. Im extremely thankful to God to spare him and that hes still with us right this moment.. No marriage is perfect and God knows theres days that i hatem yet still love him, i still love that man and dont know what i would do if i were to lose him..

my husband is whom takes care of all our financial needs since i havent been employed, but will be needing plenty enough time to heal both physically and emotionally as well before he can return to work, and unfortunately he does not have health coverage which is even more of a scare to us. One thing Jason will not do ever is swallow his pride enough to ask anyone for help, and i hate to say it but we badly need that hell wherever we can get it with a very steep hospital bill headed our way that we have no clue how we are going to plan to pay.. he has 1st, 2nd and possibly 3rd as well degree burns all over.. ive honestly never seen my husband at such a fragile emotional state as he is, it just breaks my hesrt. I know he may be mad i even begun a fundraiser in his honor because he of never wanting to ask for help, but when the bill comes he will be extremely thankful i had.. any donations to helping not just my husband but my family in this tragic crisis, i can not express my gratitude and appreciation enough..all help is appreciated, big or small, to help us on the hospital bill and getting my husband healthy again and back to getting his self back.. thank you so much here are some photos of my husband just taken today.. he is in the worst pain hes ever felt in his life it breaks my heart..
