Help for father and son
The battle to esophagus cancer :
May31st celebrating a some honor roll with class Alan was trying to eat and while wife was gone got very ill- wife came back Alan had vomited all over children and had ran to restroom . Wife left kids with school teacher and went to find Alan. He had uncontrollable clear fluid mucus coming up . The next day went into doctors office and they originally thought was dyphasia and sent for an ultrasound .Alan was sedated and biopsy taken while was waking up they received a call from their son Kaden's school that he was having a seizure and was rushed to the ER. He was treated and they are still doing more testing he is having severe anxiety . 5 days later they got the worst news of their life -esophigial adnosarcoma .
On June 15th they went to the Moffit center in Tampa and were told without treatment he would have less than 5 years to live .
The plan for the best survival rate is 6-8 weeks chemo and radiation starts on 06/27/17 and then echo because this can cause fluid in lungs. Then back to Moffit for surgical removal this will be a 6-8 hour surgery ,one week in hospital placing gastro feeding tubes and a stomach feeding tube then 6 weeks recovery.
They have no health insurance.
They have tried many of assistance programs for the son and the father to receive life saving treatment.
Bills to date are approximately $5000 out of pocket . They have applied for Medicaid and will not receive any answers for at least 30 days.
Will be out of work for a total of 16 weeks best case scenario.
We appreciate any amount you can donate to help keeps this family together and give them the best possible outcome .
