Help for family of Rylie Benton
Hello. This is Rylie. Rylie was in Sacramento for a month, visiting family, when she contracted a major blood infection. Rylie was flown to Dornbechers Childrens Hospital in Portland OR, on August 11, 2017, where after a myriad of tests, scans, MRI's, x-rays, has been diagnosed with having Menigitius both in the spinal fluid, and in the brain, Congestive Heart Failuare. They are treating her with IV Antibiotics, and she is on a ventulator to help with breathing, and to take stress off her heart, and keep it from working so hard to get oxygen through out her body. Rylie's mom and I are currently staying here at Dornbechers with her in the ICU, till a room over at the Ronald McDonald House opens up. She is making very small improvements, but this is going to be a long road to recovery, lots of time away from home and expensive to cover, for fuel as I have to go back and fourth about once or twice a week to lapine, to take care of busines there. I am currently taking time off working to be here with Rylie and her Mom, both emotional and physical support. Doctors are saying their hopeful that she will recover, but there will be some damage, in both hearing loss, and possible learning disabilities, as a side effect of the Mengigitius.
The funds raised from this GoFundMe will be used for transportation, food while were here, toiletries, and things we need for our stay here, as well as the monthly bills at home (Electric, cell phone, etc). Any and all help is greatly apprecieated.
We could really use the funds as soon as possible. We have a cell bill that we need to get paid by 8/21/17, to keep the phones on, so we can comminicate with RMH, Doctors, and family members, both here in Portland, and down in Califorina.
As stated before, all monies raised will be used for things related to Rylie, and her treatment, and bills while I'm not able to be home working, as I am needed here.
This is a very urgent situation as the money we had, was spent getting Rylie from Sacramento to here, in my wife driving from Califorina to Portland.
Again, any help is apprecieated, and thank you for the help. Rylie is an amazing 12 year old girl, and has the biggest heart I have ever seen. She is a people person, and loves to help people.
